Welcome to the Raedmogs

Well, having gone through more vetting than Haringey social services would apply to a child adoption, I have been allowed to make a home for two moggies from the shelter - mother and son.

They were living wild but aren't feral. Mum's cautious but Boy has all his instincts in the right place, launching himself at the window glass when a pigeon passed by. And he has very sharp teeth and a very strong jaw. They settled in straight away and not a single 'accident' anywhere, and have voracious appetites. Once they're allowed out of the workroom I expect chaos. Oh well.

Well done, but don't forget the isnurance.

We took in a young female that had adopted a kitten from the RSPCA. Within a couple of weeks we realised all was not well with the kitten and he required 2 major operations, costing £4.5k. Between these my ran over him and he had to have a hip roved, another £2k.

All this within 1 year!

Kitty cats for the win!

But *damn* your taste in decor leaves a lot to be desired.

You need to hire a gayer to redecorate your pad.

anon - Pah! You'll be suggesting I put frilly curtains on the boat next

Mind you, having taken in an irresponsible single mother with no visible means of support and her offspring, perhaps I'm turning Labour...

The mother looks a bit scary!

The mother looks elegant, graceful and reserved - downright regal in fact.

The son looks cheeky and inquisitive and as sweet as buggery. (Don't parse that last simile too closely.)

They're beautiful, and I'm sure they'll take to boat living like a duck to wat...err, maybe not the best simile!

£6K5 for operations on a kitten?

Someone has more money than sense, methinks.

Much as I like my cats, any prospect of bills on that scale and there are plenty more kittens around.
