Good piece. When I heard that sea levels could rise by 3ft by 2099 I was also amazed. Amazed that it seemed that such a far prediction could mean anything at all. If you had said that travel was a big threat to the planet in 1909 few people would have believed it, seeing as there were only a handful of planes and cars. TB or polio they might have worried about. things change and evolve. Who's to say a super cooling earth fridge won't be available by 2089. yet the threat to the army is today.
