Bob Jobsworth's moustache

Not only is he ranked 21st out of 23 cabinet members, below the minister for children's ball games and the minister for low-salt crisps, but the media is also picking on Defence Secretary Bob Jobsworth's moustache; the Times comments it is seen as signifying "the constipated mentality of an inept, small-town jobsworth".

That would be about right, then.

Probably trying to imitate Mandelson but he's so far from the high table that he hasn't noticed that Mandy has shaved his off.

Not only does Ainsworth give a singularly robust impression that he is as thick as pig-shit, unfortunately for him he looks and sounds it as well. And one's recollection of Peter Sellers' moustachioed union man, Fred Kite, in 'I'm alright Jack' does little to help to help Ainsworth; as his only previous claim to 'fame' being that he is a former union official. Coincidentally, the film title, 'Im alright Jack', also nicely typifies the present philosophy of a good number of Labour MPs.

But, having myself sported moustaches for over 40 years I have developed a nervous reluctance to ever remove what has become a familiar part of my own facial 'furniture'.

However; one reflects. Increasingly frequent acquaintance with Ainsworth's doh!-like visage, via the medium of TV, prompts one to consider that if a moustache may render the wearer a visual aspect redolent of such rank twattishness as that exemplified by our umpteenth useless Labour Defence Secretary , then an extended personal morning session with the razor can not be too far distant.
