Two down, two to go

The quadrumvirate in the great offices of state who took us into the Iraq war - Blair, Straw at the Foreign Office, Hoon at Defence and Derry Irvine - are no longer the power they were. Hoon is utterly disgraced, beyond redemption, disowned by his own party and reviled by the public. Irvine, who was summarily dismissed by Blair, and almost 70, is reportedly pickling himself in whisky and bitter resentment, and is rarely ever seen in public.

Two down, two to go.
