If the US won't support Falklands sovereignty
The US is rightly our closest ally, but sometimes even our best friends need a gentle nudge when they're being foolish. If the US won't support Falklands sovereignty, we should invite them to pack up their bases on both Ascension and Diego Garcia, for clearly it's hypocrisy to deny sovereignty for one island group but accept it for others ....

Why do the colonialists in the USA (who largely exterminated their own natives) complain about the colonialists in the Falklands (who occupy a land that never had any natives) at the behest of colonialists in Argentina (who largely exterminated their own natives)?
Is Hilary Rodham-Clinton merely stupid or is this a diversionary tactic to hide the Americans own culpability?
"...invite them to pack up their bases on both Ascension and Diego Garcia..."
Well it's a nice idea, but I think this is an instance where power speaks - and we don't have any.
We would get what used to be called a dusty answer.
We should also grant recognition to the Puerto Rican nationalists and demand at the UN that the US hold an immediate referendum on the independence of Guam.
Well, I had thought of something a little more effective - something stronger, like "shut the fuck up or we'll pull all our troops out of the middle east and Afghanistan"
