What's going on?

Something's up. Today I provided figures for (a) the number of back-hoe loaders with operators I could get hold of at short notice, (b) 7.5 tonne general cargo vehicles ditto and (c) the volume of diesel held in site tanks.

Expected fuel price protests and blockades (he suggests hopefully)?
Civil rebellion about continued EU membership (even more hopeful, only a dream)
But I noticed Inspector Gadget commented on shields being got ready, could that be connected?

That would depend who you provided the information to, and whether voluntarily or under duress.

Someone planning some extensive underground fuel bunkering facilities, in lieu of an inflationary fuel price spiral or a new fuel protest?

Buy now, stockpile and save money as the price soars, while enjoying security of supply.
