Migration Watch - Cost of Immigrants £23bn a year

If the Migration Watch figures are right, as reported in the Telegraph, we could abolish duty on wine, beer, cider and Spirits, cancel Tobacco duty and do away with VED; if Miliband really wants to help the cost of living, he could start with undoing the economic damage Labour has done - damage that really strains the finances of Hard Working Families;

It was never about the money with New Labour, Raedwald.

It was race-replacement, pure and simple:

After decades of mass, Third World immigration, the Englisc are the first people in Europe to become a minority in their own capital city.

A minority in their second largest city.

A minority in two other cities and seven major towns.

In fact in over 240 areas in England the Englisc do not exist.

The betrayal is beyond imagination and yet our rulers say we must 'celebrate' our demise, or else.

Aye. Ethnic cleansing, if not genocide. Nothing less will satisfy the Enemy.

They want to homogenise Europe. Cohesive nations are dangerous to them .... so they need mass immigration to destroy national identity and social cohesion.

The Brits (primarily the English) were identified as the nation which would resist the EU's assumption of governance - so had to be comprehensively broken up.

That's what they've been doing. Blair accelerated the process by giving the Accession States unfettered access to the UK, when the rest didn't.

Mass immigration isn't about growing the economy: it's about weakening the English resistance.

Is there any resistance left? The job is nigh on done, I saw some fairly well spoken bod on the box last night telling the camera dolly, "we need to be in the EU".

Strewth I thought, if only you were capable of sapient thought, we might get a cogent answer but not a bit of it and there's the rub:

Dumbing down,
mass immigration,
a transient and malleable renting population + home/property owning a thing of the past,
electronic money,
surveillance state,
armed forces cut to the bone, governance from Brussels and a Westminster rubber stamping executive,
a Central Bank which reports directly to the ECB
and the Corporates enjoy the whip hand in all things,
Cultural Marxism,
gay marriage,
trashing of Christianity,
the march of Wahhabist Islam, Sharia law just around the corner...........

Job done.

We can't do an accurate CBA on immigration as the reality would blow the inferred benefits out of the water, not to mention offending all sorts of minorities.
I would guess that the income to be a net contribution to the country would be in excess of the average wage.
Apart from the labour party perspective of importing additions to their voter base the great motivator is corporate interest, where the benefit is privatised but the cost is socialised.

Right, Anonymous @ 09:15.

One might add a few details:

Forcing us (unawares) to eat halal meat; 'We are what we eat'-- sacrificial herds to the slaughter.

As a non-smoker, never realized ciggies had got so expensive.

Yes, JH; and I thought it was too much when they went up to 3/- or so!
I stopped a while after that as I'm highly allergic to the things (and hate the smell). Though if other people opt for Ca and emphysema, that's their right - so long as they don't force it on anyone else.

But the price rise is still in sync with all the others. When I was a kid two loaves of white bread (fresh from the bakery) could be had for 1/11d. And now look.

Oh - and a tube of fruit pastilles was 3d; a Mars bar 6d (5 of those p things).

Oh, btw, Raedwald - and only slightly off the "immigration" topic - I spy a renewal of interest in your dear old Sutton Hoo ( It seems the diggers have found your old Village and Hall. Watch for comparisons to Heorot (Beowulf)! :)

This has applied to every guvmint since whenever Empire Windrush docked.
The guvmint has kowtowed to corporate greed, by encouraging low-cost-low-education immigration to "keep costs down" ... rather than improving the products ....
The Tories are no different to Labour in this respect

Well, our Rædwald had a fair run nearly 400 years prior. Or, maybe, they've both had a bit longer - due to fame and all that.
