Blair 'Demented'

Patrick Cockburn in the Indie this morning rightly calls Blair's support of the Sunni Islam side in the Moslem civil war 'demented'. Just as well that absolutely no-one believes a word that Blair says anymore, then. But I think there's more than the dead Blair's Lazarus-like self-resurrection from his police protected exile from justice; he's a man still (rightly) denied national honours - though the Septics have given him a medal as a consolation prize - looking for big cash donations for the Blair Foundation to establish his legacy. Who better to butter-up than the despotic, mad tyrants who run Saudi Arabia? There's simply no-one on the Shia side with the sort of money Blair craves. Or in the amounts needed to counter the depths to which his reputation has sunk.

Blair's lunatic belief that Wahhabism is somehow better than the intolerance of the Iranian Ayatollahs is beyond understanding; what sort of joyless, sanctimonious world in which people have bits chopped-off for thinking the wrong thoughts does Blair imagine is a good thing? Of course if he's got a scrap of sanity remaining he doesn't. Just watch from where the next big donations to his ego-fund come.

There was a piece on Syria on the Beeb on Friday (?) morning ...
Hew was referred to as "the middle East peace envoy, Tony Blair" ...
It's quite obvious that the Beeb, rightly regard him as an un-person.
I found it amusing, actually.

If you want a perfect living, example of how wonderful a christian being can be, then Blair is a perfect example, isn't he?

I thought that the reason that Blair has not gone to the Lords yet is that he is unwilling to subject his financial affairs, his business contacts and his latticework of tax-avoiding companies to the mandatory declaration and scrutiny that a seat in the Lords would require from him.

He might be a liar, but he's not stupid when it comes to his money...

We have to remember that JPM has a history of profiting from war, and Blair is their willing agent.

He is such a gross warmonger. Vile man.

And to think that there was an outcry about the Tory poster showing him with red devil eyes ...
The man is evil incarnate, and always was, (like much of his party), but then the Tories are a ship of fools.

Well, it is hard to quantify and annotate my sentiments and concerning Mr. Blair, which are so low they're floating off over the Styx on Charon's ferry.

As to your inner thoughts on Blair, though your musings rate already, I always make comparison with mine.

I find it surprising, indeed extremely surprising Radders - in that your opinion of Blair is even lower than mine.

Chalk another one up! Well done to you Sir.

I'll let Kipling speak for me, on Blair - and his Third Way to Armageddon:

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late
With long arrears to make good,
When the English began to hate.

They were not easily moved,
They were icy-willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the English began to hate.

Their voices were even and low,
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show,
When the English began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd,
It was not taught by the State.
No man spoke it aloud,
When the English began to hate.

It was not suddenly bred,
It will not swiftly abate,
Through the chill years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the English began to hate.

Your post title is at least 12 years out of date. I was asking friends if they though he was mad, during his first kingly reign.

I am not a Roman Catholic but I do take the very traditionalist RC monthly "Christian Order" which occasionally prints an article or two of mine (usually on the EU)

At the time of his supposed conversion (although his conduct and opinions were completely outside the teachings of the Church), the editor described Blair as
"The comic cuts cartoon convert from Hell"

Given that the RC church still has vile torturing murderers as Dominic & Cyril of Alexandria listed on its' books as "saints", I disagree.
The whole thing stinks, & he, Blair, is in the right place.
