Boris Johnson supports Farage 'twin tracking'

If Nigel Farage decides to stand for Patrick Mercer's old seat whilst keeping his job as an MEP, he will enjoy full support from an unexpected quarter; Boris Johnson is firmly supportive of the ability of politicians to hold both posts together.

"There is no reason why MPs should not take on this duty (sitting as MEPs): they are well used to sitting on Bill committees. They have the time" Wrote Johnson in the Telegraph two days ago.

Glad that's clear, then.

This all looks like a trap designed to negate any Euro election success.

Remember how the peasants revolt was stopped.

Farage has announced he won't be standing. He said it would be a distraction and he has no links to the East Midlands and would be accused of opportunism.
