It IS possible to loathe Luciana Berger in a PC way

Abused Labour MP Luciana Berger is quite right to complain that she is being vilified for being Jewish. Her faith / ethnic background has nothing at all to do with the real reasons why defenders of democracy should loathe everything she represents - as set out on this blog on 7th June 2013
"Labour blow-in Luciana Berger has been in a spat with one of the local councillors in her Liverpool constituency ("They've found me a safe seat in Liverpool? Where's that? Wasn't that where the Beatles came from?") before she's even been able to remember the major street-names.

Berger of course is the poster-girl for the new breed of political class who are driving voters away from the Labour and Tory parties in droves. Like most of her contemporaries, she was privately educated (Haberdasher Aske's) and from a Labour political dynasty. And no, she's never had a proper job or done a single day's proper work in her life. It was student politics, then a bit of expenses-experience with a health quango before Parliament.

She was screwed into one of  Labour's safe Liverpool seats for the 2010 election by the party's London HQ against local opposition. As Wiki records "In the run-up to the General Election, the Liverpool Echo tested Berger with a four-question quiz on Liverpool life and history. She scored two out of four, not knowing who performed Ferry Cross the Mersey and not recognising the name of former Liverpool F.C. manager, Bill Shankly."

It's Berger and her like that that are worth 10,000 votes each to UKIP and the alternative parties; the sickening and nauseating 'jobs for the boys and girls' nepotism by the dying private clubs of the main parties being truly out of favour with voters."
Care with comments please - anti-semitic slurs will be deleted.

Never heard of her. But if she didn't know who Bill Shankley was, she's obviously profoundly ignorant and that, apart from anything else makes her not worth voting for

After she was told that Shankly had been a legend at Anfield, she said...

"Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that".

But not really.

Anybody, who truly supports democracy must give their support to Israel. I'm just wondering what, God Grief and all - is a good Jewish girl doing representing the party of scum?

Maureen Lipman, needs to have a word in her [Berger's] shell-like.

As I pointed out in your original post, Luciana Berger is a dead lookalike for Ed Milliband; they could be siblings. Odd or what? Anyway, it's reason enough (if reason were needed) to loathe them both.

Anyone who is ignorant of some football club manager or other immediately rises in my estimation. Football is truly boring. Having got that off my chest, then yes Berger does look like an establishment clone.

I think she's rather gorgeous. I am magnanimously prepared to overlook her absurd lefty politics in order to give - er, defend her honour.

But just why is a nice Jewish girl in a party full of nasty anti-semites who hate Israel? Ditto for Lucy Ellmann. I don't get it at all.

SW: It's obvious; both Berger and Ellmann were overwhelmed by that handsome Jewish boy, Ed something-or-other, who is now said to lead the Labour Party.

As Jackie Mason would say he is "jew-ish"' isn't he? Eats bacon, never goes to Synagogue, cares more about the Pallywood productions in Gaza. My Israeli friend Shmuely calls him "one of those anti-semitic Marxists who hates his own kind". (In the interests of full disclosure, Shmuely is a Likud voter, so does not have much of a sense of humour on this point.)

I beg Louise Ellman's pardon...

I think, in the interests of equality, a subject dear to the political heart, we should all get a chance to ban something and for to have our ban given the full force of law.

My first thought was to ban Parliamentary Privilege in response to dear old Lucie.

But then I thought I could be more creative. After all Balls and Co banned the absence of money, with their reduction of poverty targets and Gorgeous George is about to ban the absence of the Government having any money.

So, in the modern trend of banning soemthing that isn't there, I want to introduce my own ban. The Absence of Responsibility for Politicians for Their Own Actions.

At one fell swoop, I get to lock up all of the old Labour ministers and a fair few of the Tory/Lib current ones.

I don't hate Luciana Berger, but I'll give you a pound to a penny that she hates me - and everyone like me in the country. We, the hated, stand for a bit of self-discipline, worked all our lives, worry about immigration and rampant Islamification, believe that we should bite the bullet and get rid of the deficit by austerity, stop benefit tourism etc etc etc.

It occurs to me that Osborne has no interest in reducing the national debt, because if he did, it would toxify conservatism, and allow the likes of the fragrant Luciana and the coterie of shitbags and feckwits to get us back in the excrement river without so much as a paddle.

I dunno about dodgy financial support but additionally - was the coop bank handing out crystal meth to members of the scum party?

The fact that Luciana Berger is Jewish is of immense significance. In your post, you point to all the factors but due to your fear of being labelled an anti-Semite, you fail to ask why Berger might seem so out-of-touch with people.

Frankly, I couldn't care less what she knows or doesn't know about football or mindless pop music. These are frivolities and it's to her credit that she is (or was) ignorant on those subjects. I wish more MPs were.

What does matter is that she is part of a small ethnic group that wields disproportionate influence in this country and harms the white indigenous population.

Grasping the nettle does come with a sting, but that's the price you have to pay. Better that than waste your time and everybody else's running a lightweight blog in which you jump on bandwagons (is it Muslims at the moment?), carefully steer around unspoken truths and anything at all controversial and feign to believe that Peter Hitchens (another Jew) is a profound thinker.

Membership of the Labour party is ethnic, now is it?

As a Muslim (living in the Wavertree constituency) and an ardent Liverpool supporter, I don't think Luciana Berger's lack of knowledge of Shankly is at all relevant - nor is the fact that she's Jewish. In fact, I'm a great admirer of Gerald Kaufman and the US Politician, Bernie Sanders - both of whom are Jewish.

My problem is, Labour HQ selected one of their own to represent my constituency over a local Labour candidate is totally disgraceful.
