The wife "spoke" yesterday.

I expect that she will again today.

I am shocked Cheesy, you are normally so full of yourself that I can't imagine her getting a word in edgeways, or if doing so, you noticing.

I watched Anne Widdecombe addressing a Brexit Party audience (via Youtube) last night.

Two things struck me - the facts she stated were incontrovertible and the audience itself were (at least appeared to be ) very 'middle class' and wholly supportive.

If the impression I got from the audience and (quality) candidates representing TBP is as true as it appears then .gov (of any colour) should be really, really scared of not delivering on Brexit and Gove's statement (above) might be representative of the fact that they KNOW they are dodgy ground for their very livelihoods/futures if they fail.

Regardless of the Brexit issue, TBP is a party that seems to represent the best of 'politics' (a misnomer if ever I wrote one) and clearly heads and shoulders above the standard currently sitting in the HoC. I'd replace the entire HoC line up with TBP candidates at the drop of a hat - and I don't even know the details of most of them!

I don't doubt for one moment that you would, Dave.

That was the BP Newport Rally wasn't it? I've been watching the other rallies in Telford, Sedgefield and the one in Southport where Claire Fox spoke. What struck me was how they all thought it was time to stand up and be counted. These are decent people, they want to serve their communities, rather than help themselves, they're not polished or glib, but their honesty shines through. I'd be very surprised indeed if any of these candidates fiddled their expenses or went back on their word - we leave that to the Left and professional politicians of LibLabCon.

I know which grouping I'd rather have in Parliament.

When you consider how the general public is being treated by the tired old crowd like Major and Heseltine, Clarke as well, you have to notice how - maybe unintentionally - that the electorate has just switched off, and not just by 'poll' issues, by real anger. They're the faded 'elite' just doing a last dying kick before they vanish, hopefully very soon.

Ann Widdecombe was my MP for a while, and she was always a great asset to the constituency, she worked damned hard for us here in Kent, so I'll listen to her piece now.

The brexit party isn't what any reasonable person would call a political party.

It has no general membership nor internal democracy. It is simply an autocratic pressure group business, but which fields candidates as if it were.

The best politics money can buy.

Meanwhile JPM, the LibDems want to abolish Brexit - after campaigning for years for a referendum, but not liking the result. The Labour party doesn't yet have a policy on it - again. Many of us don't want to be members of parties, we just want to vote for policies we like, and hope to see acted upon....

You don't know the meaning of either "party" or "reasonable" Jack, so you are not exactly qualified to speak authoritatively on the subject.

Firstly: courgettes....make pickle!

TBP in Exeter tonight (including the wonderful Widde again) I am out of the country so will miss it but it is my 'local' event. I would expect it to be full.

We need to remember that Mr. Gove voted 3 times for the EU’s surrender WA which ties us to the EU with no representation or veto and from which there is no lawful exit according to the AG.

So if this is still his definition of Brexit it is unlikely to satisfy a majority of leavers who know we are being fleeced and want to retain the ability to elect and remove those who govern us and will therefore not save his party from a drubbing at the next election.

The BBC programme “The Cameron Years” reminded us of how the “rules based” EU ignored his veto and thus clearly demonstrated yet again that we must leave.

Freedom and democracy is far more important than any short term difficulties or economic considerations.

I am not expecting our current unrepresentative pro-EU Parliament to be voting for an election anytime soon or be respecting the EU referendum result.

But whatever our current unrepresentative Parliament decides in the next few months on the way forward for Brexit (delay, surrender WA or revoke/remain) it is clear to me that there will continue to be vitally important negotiations with the EU and it will be necessary to ensure that whenever we are allowed to vote that we do so for MPs who are prepared to fight for the UK’s interests, or for England’s interests if necessary.

So unless the Conservative Party removes its noblesse oblige pro-EU candidates, even those with famous grandfathers, who are happy to see our country trampled upon by the EU, either as a colony or as a member whose views are ignored, then I cannot see them continue to be in government.

I was at the Brexit Party rally in Exeter yesterday. Hardly any empty seats; great group of speakers, including Widdecombe and we were introduced to the West Country's candidates. Alistair Waugh, candidate for Bridgwater, was particularly impressive.

And Nigel repeated his offer to Boris: clean-break Brexit, and the Party will co-operate with the Tories to ensure a win. Serve up a reheated Surrender Treaty and we will fight every seat. And in the West Country seats aren't as tribal as other parts of the country.

Ah, Dee Dee, bless, you're still talking about those mess-free cesspit explosions, neat and tidy plane crashes, pretty disembowelments and "clean" Brexits.

Father Christmas will be coming in a couple of months too, love.

JPM is right in the sense that leaving the EU is not a one day event. It will take 10 years or more to get completely free of it.
