Muslims must be British first

Baroness Warsi's plea for us to exhibit less prejudice towards Muslims would fall on more fertile ground if the Muslim population learned the same trick as Britain's Jews and Catholics; how to be British first. There is no room in this small nation for the evil apartheid of multiculturalism; immigrants must integrate. That means modifying their behaviour, beliefs and identity to become lost in the great diversity of Britons. Our attitude towards those who refuse to integrate isn't bigotry; this nation isn't an hotel, it's our homeland, and we have the right to demand that those who want to join us also take on our ethics, morals and allegiances.

The 'growing intolerance' that the Baroness detects isn't towards Muslims as such, but towards the bigotry of Islam, and this is entirely proper. The Islamic world has never undergone an Enlightenment, and consequently remains at heart primitive, unevolved and superstitious. The majority of Islamic immigrants to Britain are poor peasants from Pakistan and Bangladesh, compounding their archaic belief with illiteracy and ignorance, susceptible to the most outrageous suggestions from village Imams. We cannot accept these 'views' as having any moral equivalency with the mores of an advanced Western society, and neither should we. It is quite right and proper to condemn such things. But we must take care that our condemnation of the lies, falsehoods and provocations of primitive Islamic doctrine doesn't become hostility towards towards the poor deluded fools who have swallowed this guff. They need all our help and encouragement to rise from the darkness of their backwardness into the light that is being British.

Integration ain't going to happen. For proof drive around the Balsall Heath, Sparkhill, Small Heath and Sparkbrook areas of South East Birmingham.

The imperative of Islam is conquest by all means available to bring all the world into submission (Islam) to the teachings of the prophet and shariah law. It is non-negotiable and cannot be dodged.

There are, of course, Muslims who take a more relaxed view, just as there are Christians who are lukewarm about (say) the Ten Commandments ("attempt any six") or St Paul's views on homosexual behaviour.

The situation was explained by a leading European Arabist who was a key witness in the Geert Wilders trial. To sum up, his view was "There is no such thing as moderate Islam but there are moderate Muslims".

The trial fell to the ground when the judge, who initiated the prosecution, arranged (unknown to the witness) to meet him at a private dinner party to influence his evidence. This was not much publicised in the British media.

The trial is being re-started and I would recommend people to keep an eye on the English language Dutch blog KLEIN VERZET as well as GATES OF VIENNA.

Its quite simple, the real English simply will not be "pushed" to do something that they are unhappy with. Normally, we are a quite tolerant people and quite easy going, putting up with all sorts of thing we don't particularly like such as Islam. But as soon as people start telling us that we must not just tolerate something, but fully accept it, it "puts our backs up", and this is what is happening. Its not only Islam, but numerous other issues - I didn't used to have the slightest interest in whether someone was gay or not as long as it didn't affect me, but with events like the recent case where two homosexuals sued because they were refused admission to a guest house and a psychiatrist subjected to an inquisition because she tried to "turn" a gay man, I'm beginning to actively dislike them.
We've lost the old "live, and let live" attitude which used to be prt of the English way of life.

Time and time again, it is not backwardness, poor education, hailing from villages in Muslims countries, or lack of jobs, that is the cause of radicalism. In fact it is the well off and educated Muslims who are the leaders of radical Islam.

So have these educated elite Muslims misunderstood Islam? Have all the imams and the scholars of Islam misunderstood the Koran ?

There is no radical Islam and neither are there moderate or radical Muslims, with I'm in agreement with Warsi.

Let us consider the hypothetical situation that ALL Muslims at present living in the West, accepted the call to clean up their communities of extremism, as Warsi would like to see. They even went further and made the changes in their teachings of the Koran and the jihad. Such an outcome would no doubt come as a relief to many on this site, the government, the MSM, and elsewhere. But I counter, that all such changes were being done merely to protect the ummah while it grows at ever-increasing pace in the West. Once a near majority is achieved, that future generation of Muslims will simply revoke any changes, and return to the traditions of the unchanging and unchangeable Koran i.e., the canonical texts of Islam that cannot be changed, but only protected when under duress. That future generation of Muslims in the UK and the USA will even praise this generation of Muslims for having done what was necessary to protect Islam.

Its worse then that.

Mrs Pilkington met the journalist at a Christian conference. Mr Strudwick told the counsellor that he wanted to leave his ‘homosexual lifestyle’ and wanted help to change his behaviour. The counsellor confirmed that she would be happy to meet with him but only within a Christian counselling context and he agreed.

Shortly after the conference, and still acting undercover, the journalist contacted her and said that he thought they were on the same wavelength and asked to meet with he

There's no excuse for exhibiting prejudice to any group, I'm currently writing my dissertation on post- 9-11 popular culture representations of Muslims and the effects of this- i.e. violence, justification of foreign policy, overriding dissent, profit etc. In Britain, Muslims remain the most marginalised social group facing discrimination in all quarters. And what would you say to those 100,000 British converts. Do they have modify their identity and beliefs?? Its so funny how little stereotypes have changed since the middle ages. I would recommend you buy the book Idols in the East by Suzanne Akbari and Edward said Culture and Imperialism.

Sy's prints - I've seen no evidence, and you offer none, that 100,000 Britons have converted to Islam. The figure is improbable in the extreme. If you're offering academic credentials, then citing your sources and academic honesty should part of the offer.

To be frank, any free Briton who voluntarily enslaves themselves in the primitive doctrine that is Islam must by definition be mentally aberrant. As many such as Richard Reid have proven to be, of course.

no real hurry for Islam as they will outbreed the whites. And then the noble politicians will see the light.

Sky's Prints - for some reason you make no mention of the Muslims who have converted to Christianity. Of course, they avoid publicity because of the likely consequences from their erstwhile fellow believers, whose religious duty it is to kill them.

Some years ago a conference of Christian and Muslim leaders tried to get the Muslim side to say that this was no longer a requirement of Islam. Of course, the mullahs and imams could say no such thing. If they did, they too would be guilty of shrk (apostasy) and deserving of death. What they do say is "Don't do it now, chaps".

Won't happen. The central loyalty of all Muslims is to the Ummah, not to their country.

Until Islam itself deals with the fact that Islam itself is the problem, with its mediaeval practises and thirst for infidel blood, then there will be a problem.
