Sorry, but my advice to Russia is simple

Many years ago in the Lebanon, before 1989 anyway, when Beirut was beset with kidnappings and hostage-taking of foreigners as part of the seemingly interminable civil war, even diplomats were vulnerable. One day a Russian embassy official was kidnapped. By the end of the week he was dead, but so were his kidnappers - their bodies found with their amputated genitals stuffed into their mouths. It was commented at the time that this was the work of the Spetznaz. And that Russia never again suffered a kidnap attempt in the Lebanon.

As it seems increasingly likely that ISIS put a bomb aboard the Russian jet, my advice to Russia is unequivocal; kill ten Islamists for every Russian who died on that flight. Use thermobaric weapons in Syria to bomb the bastards back to pre-Islam without harming the archaeology if you like. But make sure ISIS gives you 2,240 corpses before you bury the last of your people.

Good advice but probably redundant; the Russians haven't changed much in recent years, despite reverses, and remember Putin's CV - he trained under Khruschev.

I cautiously echo your sentiments and posit, maybe it would not be such a good idea to be considering investing in real estate in a town anywhere in Eastern Syria.

ONE small caveat.
The Russians are not too careful about saving their own people, which is NOT nice.
Remember the Beslan (?) school siege & the cinema?
Where they got all the terrorists, yes, but wasted large numbers of their own innocent bystanders.

OTOH, my figure for removing Da'esh & their sympathisers is more like 100:1 or even 1000:1 if you can manage it.

Never start with a word of apology.
If we don't push these people back they will push us back. To preserve anything of our peaceful civil societies we will have to turn the methods of the savages back on them. The only question is whether we have left it too late to keep the fight abroad or will now have to go through all this on our own European territory too, in which case...

Can't disagree with this piece of advice. They did it with the Somali pirates.

We can but hope this is what the Russians do. Of course, there'll then be unleashed a torrent of abuse from the muslim in the White House and his claque of dhimmis.

Very sound advice -- I think the only thing wrong with this excellent article is the word 'sorry'.

They could start with Riyadh. That's the head of the snake.

Obama is seriously deluded, yes - but his delusions are christian.

Don't worry, someone will, but that probably won't be the first strike.
DON'T wish for nukes to be used - it could become general - a very stupid idea.

It's the only thing that is going to stop ISIS .... and the deluded idiotic "British" Muslims who travel to Syria to join them.

Us bystanders of course, can't possibly know.
