As has been mentioned on many occasions, it was designed to never be used, but against most sensible leaver's view, the Tories used it.<br /><br />We should have repealed the 1972 European Communities Act, with a trigger date, and then invite the EU to negotiate.<br /><br />Instead, we have not only pursued article 50, which has now had its terms broken three times, by the people that drafted it, which demonstrates just how reliable the organisation is, that law can be interpreted in any way that fits the argument.<br /><br />And all this because people are anxious to get to the end of Brexit.
