Dirty Dog MPs need their tackle lopped

You can bet that Michael Fallon didn't jump because he touched Julia Hartley-Brewer's knees some years ago. Oh No. There had to be something much darker and nastier that threatened to burst out - rape perhaps, a serious sexual assault, an offence against a minor. Fallon's rapid resignation stinks of an attempt to stay out of jail rather than an attempt not to embarrass the government.

What is it with male MPs that they're seemingly incapable of keeping their dicks in their trousers? Does their petty power act like a sort of Viagra? Or is it just the deviant narcissists that are attracted to politics in the first place? And no, women MPs don't behave in the same way.

And I'm not writing about innocent horny flirtation; these men target their staff, juniors, researchers, new young female party colleagues. In other words they abuse their position to inflict their sexual attentions on those not in a position to repel them. If it was up to me I'd treat them like one does a dog that humps visitors' legs. Lop 'em off.

Of course we mustn't let this become a witch hunt that uses harmless and innocuous banter and tentative try-ons to target the innocent and foolish. No. But we must scour Westminster of the threat of the really harmful dirty dogs. As with expenses, if they can't manage to restrain themselves, then we must introduce systems that do so.

Come on, they are non discriminatory abusers. Edward Heath reputedly on the suggestion of such an august body as the Wiltshire police authority, was up to it. Cyril Smith, ditto.

The real problem is women in the workforce, they should stay in the kitchen and out of other men's way.

"I was abused", I led him on, quite liked the attention from a minister of the crown. FFS! Even Nigel Griffiths left under a cloud.

Fallon's my MP and I & others in the constituency know nothing of his antics. But he was closely involved with the "brushed under the carpet" LIBOR scandal some years ago, for which he deserves all he gets.

Rape, sex attacks and and sexual abuse is all about power and people who go into politics are generally seeking power. So the kind of men who seek "High Office" will have the characteristics to become sexual predators. Obviously not all do, but in a "protected environment" - which is what Parliament is - some will take the opportunity.

They're not so very different from the serial abusers of Rotherham and elsewhere.

The whole organisation and culture of Parliament needs to change. It isn't a "gentlemen's club" and it's time it was no longer treated as though it is. The bars should be closed and there should be zero tolerance of drunkenness on the premises.

And there must be a process which allows people who are being targeted by a sexual abuser to report it and be confident that, however senior the individual, it will be properly investigated.

At the moment there's a bit of a witch-hunt underway. Let's not kid ourselves that some women aren't also predatory and will target "a silly, lonely old man" if they think it might be beneficial to them and their career.

trouble is that introducing "systems" to control or supervise in some way MPs undermines them just as the expenses scandal did. we replace elected representatives with unelected civil servants. Not sure that's an advance.

J H-B nailed it on ITV last night. Even Shammy Wotsername couldn't disagree. We are in danger of throwing the baby out with the bathwater, but the only real reason that the baby is about to cop it, is that each side wants to score as many political points as possible out of this. And when you behave like that, you end up with a witch hunt and innocent people trying to do a decent job get hurt.

I've always said, the last people you want in power are the people who actively seek it out. Normal people just want to get on with living their lives, only social inadequates and the psychologically disturbed make it their life's aim to be in politics.

More than ever we need a lower age limit on seeking political office. 45 minimum for Parliament, preferably 50 or above. With a defined retirement age of 70 max. Politics should be for people who have had careers, and want to put something back (or try to right injustice they have personally seen). This means that anyone in their 20s can have no prospect of getting into power for decades and would have to go off and have a life and career outside the political bubble. That would knock a lot of the wonks out of the running - they'd get caught up in real life and forget politics. It would also reduce the number of younger people seeking political favour, ie the abuse fodder for those in power. We'd be less likely to end up with the likes of Blair and Brown in politics if the Oxford PPE/think tank/spad/propective MP/MP conveyor belt was broken.

One "can't say" witch hunt anymore. Despite centuries of the term being disconnected from anything to do with witches it is now deemed to be misogynist by the feminist 'witch hunters'.

I'm not much of a fan of Fallon - he was given the poison chalice of defence... and has never looked comfortable or competent in that role.

The Navy has not enough fuel, is pillaging / cannibalizing parts between vessels which lack missile capability. The F35 has have its engines serviced in ... Turkey - if the parts are actually available, The Army is similarly in a mess.

I think it's clear he saw an easy out and bolted...

One gets the impression that between incompetence of the defence bosses and the fiscal tinkering of the mandarins to fund a slew of sinecures elsewhere - the UK's armed forces are actually headed for a train crash in terms of capability.

What I find contemptible is that the current crop of politicos are such wimps: in the good old days we did real scandals:

Christine Keeler, Mandy Rice Crispies - "well he would say that wouldn't he" Secretary of State for War, Soviet Attaches, Osteopath pimps, Lord Denning, Lord Astor, Rachman, Jamaican jazz singers.

Palmerston at the age of 79 stood accused of seducing Margaret O'Kane, an actress and the wife of an Irish journalist Thaddeus O'Kane who claimed that his wife and the P.M. had made love on several occasions at Pam's Piccadilly mansion, Cambridge House.

Disraeli guessed, accurately, that the "absurd escapade" would boost Palmerston's popularity and remarked that he thought Pam had done it on purpose.

The joke went round the clubs, "the lady may be Kane but is Palmerston Able?"

Bloody amateurs.

Not to mention Bob Boothby mixed up with the Krays whilst shagging PM Macmillan's wife.

I used to walk out with the daughter of Richard Dimbleby's secretary and she used to give us the low-down on all sorts of going's on: how we all laughed. I still can't see David on the box without a smile.

Are the good old days: nothing like 'em!

'Or is it just the deviant narcissists that are attracted to politics in the first place?'

Narcissists, sociopaths and psychopaths. The incidence for each is higher than average amongst politicians - psychopathy is more than double the average. Power attracts like a moth is attracted to a flame.

A recent example of a psychopath acquiring the reins of power would be Tony Blair. A consummate liar, Blair used the now disproved claims about Saddam’s Weapons of Mass Destruction to help launch a military campaign that at the last count left nearly two hundred thousand Iraqi civilians dead. This doesn’t include those displaced, the waves of refugees that have followed the 2003 invasion or those sickened and deformed by the Coalition’s use of Depleted Uranium, the effects of which are still being felt today and which Blair sanctioned.

Of course Blair didn’t do any of this on his own initiative. He was simply following the instructions of those who granted him his power and position. The elite chose Blair because he was such a consummate liar. Such was his ability to deceive so many and so adroitly that even while he was complicit in crimes of historic proportions he still claimed to be liberating Iraqis from a brutal dictatorship.

With his accomplished ability to deceive, the elite had chosen Blair and then prepared the way for him to assume power. First by anointing him at the 1993 Bilderberg meeting and then by eliminating his popular predecessor John Smith, who died an untimely death, which Blair strangely predicted, and which opened the way for his leadership of the Labour Party.

Having thus secured his position Blair would then go on to do the elite’s dirty work, and being a psychopath he did so without question, or compunction or any genuine remorse.

From his book Snakes in Suits: When Psychopaths Go to Work, Dr Paul Babiak writes:

"They are masters of impression management; their insight into the psyche of others combined with a superficial – but convincing – verbal fluency allows them to change their situation skillfully as it suits the situation and their game plan.”

The point about the loose-moraled statesmen of yore is that they shagged eachother - relentlessly - but mostly left the servants alone.

Even then there was no more loathsome figure than the servant groper, the man who would extort sex from young domestic staff, with the threat of dismissal without a 'character' and a future in the workhouse if they didn't comply. The MPs I'm condemning are the same loathsome breed.

Thank God we live in the age we do - can you imagine Rennard's pudgy sweaty hands all over a helpless parloumaid - perhaps your daughter - with no answer or recourse?

But on the plus side Raedwald many of the aristos married their servants: one the Earls of Berkeley married a butchers daughter: she used to raise a port glass full to the miniscus and drink it without spilling a drop "none of my sons can do that" she said.

If it were not for all those Wodehousian chorus girls the English aristocracy would have bred themselves into chinless extinction: for that class were the only people that gave them any affection at all.

They say there's a troopship just leaving Bombay, bound for old Blighty shore
Heavily laden with time expired men, bound for the land they adore.
There's many an airman just finishing his time, there's many a twerp signing on.
You'll get no promotion this side of the ocean, so cheer up my lads, Bless 'em All.

Bless em All, Bless em All, the long and the short and the tall
Bless all the sergeants and W. O. ones,
Bless all the corp'rals and their blinkin sons,
'Cos we're saying goodbye to them all, as back to their billets they crawl
You'll get no promotion this side of the ocean, so cheer up my lads, Bless 'em All

They say if you work hard you'll get better pay
We've heard all that before
Clean up your buttons and polish your boots
Scrub out the barrack room floor
There's many a rookie has taken it in, hook line and sinker an 'all
You'll get no promotion this side of the ocean
So cheer up my lads bless 'em all.

Bless 'em All, Bless 'em All, the long and the short and the tall,
Bless all the sergeants and W. O. ones,
Bless all the corp'rals and their blinkin sons,
'Cos we're saying goodbye to them all, as back to their billets they crawl
You'll get no promotion this side of the ocean, so cheer up my lads, Bless'em All

Now they say that the Sergeant's a very nice chap, oh what a tale to tell.
Ask him for leave on a Saturday night and he'll pay your fare home as well.
There's many an airman has blighted his life through writing rude words on the wall
You'll get no promotion this side of the ocean
So cheer up my lads bless 'em all

Bless 'em All, Bless 'em All, the long and the short and the tall,
Bless all the sergeants and W. O. ones,
Bless all the corp'rals and their blinkin sons,
'Cos we're saying goodbye to them all, as back to their billets they crawl
You'll get no promotion this side of the ocean, so cheer up my lads, Bless'em All

Nobody knows what a twerp you have been, so cheer up my lads bless 'em all.

It appears that France (home of political mistresses and much more mature attitudes to human foibles) has had time, between pissing themselves laughing at the ridiculous knee-touching allegations and resignations in yUK to pass legislation to close mosques implicated in terrorist activities.

Think about that, yUK is not a serious country. Ms Maybe is easily distracted by the womyns agenda to the detriment of serious governance.

I won't miss Jingo Mike Fallon he was a useless placeman, some good has to come of this schoolboy-level faux outrage

DeeDee99: "They're not so very different from the serial abusers of Rotherham and elsewhere."

Entirely wrong. Rotherham was a racially motivated crime, before the white girls were being assaulted, rumour has it that Sikh and Hindu girls were the targets of the Islamic pedophiles in Rotherham, Oxford, Birmingham, Luton, Cardiff, etc. It's all in accord with the teachings of the author of the Koran. His fourth (?) wife was nine - story is he didn't wait until puberty to consummate that 'marriage'.

When the Moslems wage war, they use every instrument at their disposal, terror, economic, and sexual.

The sleazy buggers in Parliament may simply be out for a little self gratification at a silly woman's expense. The woman is often consenting ( she thinks she's going to displace the established wife of this or that MP ) But when cold reality dawns, and she finds he doesn't return her calls nor acknowledge her in the corridor, then the allegations of regret rape occur.

We have one thing to learn from the Moslems, men and women are different and should in most instances lead to segregated lives. There isn't a single institution that women get involved in ( other than the Mothers union ) which isn't worse for it.

Men! Men are to blame!

I'm a bloke. I was bullied by a female boss.

It didn'nt matter that I was right and trying to be heplful.
I had to get a senior colleague to convey the information. It was okay coming from him. A junior couldn't possibly be right. After a while my health suffered. Potentially life changing, akin to a mini stroke but I won't go in to details as I got better. So far. At any rate it affected my career and my confidence.
Other male colleagues suffered. Several were utterly demoralised, one had a suspected breakdown and another started self harming.

I love and respect women but they are just as culpable as men in potential.
Equality, if it is to retain it's meaning, must be just that.

Equality de facto cannot be one sided.

Just saying.

Anon because tell the truth and shit happens
