We're with you Boris
Today our prayers are for the recovery of the Prime Minister and our thoughts with his partner Carrie Symonds. C'mon Boris - we need you so badly.
Quite so, I echo those wishes for a swift recovery.
Since no sane person would seek to de-stabilise the Corona Virus any further should we now start keeping lists of people and organisations that do so? Not for violent purposes but for application of social disregard and non-support.
Journalists that ask 'Will the Government be able to carry on?' should be spurned. No Deputy Prime Minister is going to run around, waving his arms in the air, shouting 'We are all doomed!!!' and I admire their ability to endure such questioning with such poise.
I was shocked to hear about Boris being moved into ICU. Having experienced a week in one of those places (not for this virus), I have no doubt he will be in the very best hands. My wholehearted hopes, prayers and best wishes for a swift recovery by our PM, and anyone struck down by this virus.
Boris is almost like the personification of the fight against Covid-19, and perhaps that's why there seems to be genuine shock and fear from people of all sides at this turn of events.
Since it's been mentioned above - for anyone with any doubt, this crisis has enabled the broadcast media to be exposed for the pathetic vermin they are, but I will save that rant for another day.
Being apolitical I'm not a fan of any politician - especially from this era - but for the sake of his family and the nation I wish him a speedy recovery. If anything this virus takes the opportunistic route once inside the body, gambling on a glorious death together with the host. Just yesterday in Switzerland the spouse of my cousin was taken very quickly.
damn right. I was actually worrying about his health. No-one is admitted to an ICU unless they are very, very ill. It was good of President Trump to get in touch with the large drug companies to ask if they had any thing to help him. Remind me why so many hate him when the Queen invited him back after his state visit with the word soon used too?
Get better soon, Boris. It is boring with you off the field of play.
DP111 Its so obvious that Her Majesty likes Pres Trump very much. I suppose for the reason that he is a genuine human being, without the airs that powerful politicians put on. If Pres Trump fails, I fear for the West.
If we are going to wait for clinical trials and the test of vaccines, it might be a year or more, and covid 19 would have passed well into history, taking millions with it.
Mortality rates in Britain due to this virus are already one of the highest. Not surprising if all that NHS is doing is to lock patients up and ventilate - if they can get hold of a ventilator. More likely they are rationed anyway.
Aletter that appeared over the weekend in the Sunday Telegraph, written by Dr Steven R Hopkins of Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire.
It says:
The chief medical officer, Professor Chris Whitty, has banned doctors from treating Covid-19 with anything other than paracetamol and in severe cases, oxygen.
Colleagues have rightly condemned this response, which ignores the experience of doctors overseas. Professor Whitty’s position is that British doctors may not use therapies that have not undergone double blind controlled trials here. This could condemn many thousands to avoidable death through a failure to recognise that different rules should apply when patients are dying at such a rate.
Hopefully Trumps offer might break the bureaucracy
Contrary to advice, he went out of his way to shake hands with hospital staff and boast about his behaviour. Now, he is consuming vital NHS resources (avoidable burden on NHS).
Get well soon. But don't whitewash the irresponsibility.

Hear hear!
Yes, I wish Mr. Johnson and every other sufferer of this curse a swift return to health and strength.
Same here. Sending a Get Well Soon card to No.10 today and I hope and pray Boris recovers - and quickly.
Hear, hear!

Wishing Boris a speedy recovery but also wondering why (seemingly) only him and Carrie are victims - doesn't the PM meet/greet HUNDREDS of people?
I thought this disease was infectious?
Anyone else in his cabinet or close associates suffering the same symptoms?
God speed your recovery Boris.
Science is racing to find out why this scourge is so devastating to some people, but not to others, Dave.
They're looking at genetics, initial infective load, and other possible co-factors beyond underlying illness.
Johnson was hitherto in pretty solid shape.
preety good shape but heaps of stress, which all boils down on the immune system again.
I hope and pray Boris recovers.
DJ, that list will be long. Also the crass bimbo that asked Raab thsoe questions last night should be sacked, immediately.

He keeps mentioning "anecdotal evidence". A phrase he has learned from Faucci.
