You will all be used by now to everything from constipation to Summer lightning being blamed on Brexit; the remoaners know no limits in seeking to establish Brexit as the cause of every ill. Cow dries up? Crop fails? Late hail? Ewe aborts? Brexit. A few hundred years ago the same people blamed witches for everything that went wrong with their lives. Today they blame Brexit.
EU staff are fleeing the NHS in terror, apparently. If you read the Guardian, you'll get a picture of the UK as a fearful panic nation in which stoic Hungarian nose-surgeons brave being spat at on the bus for talking funny. It's utter rubbish of course; the Guardian is an open sewer and its content just as palatable. Now the Indescribablyboring runs its own 'Brexit panic fear brain-drain exodus' made-up news story. Sigh.
There's really only one factor that determines more than any other the level and pressure of inward EU migration to the UK; the £ - € exchange rate. When it stood at €1.35 - €1.43 to the £, every raspberry was picked, every ward swabbed and every bathroom tiled. Now it's €1.13 and housing costs in London and the South East are through the roof, EU workers are asking 'what's the point?'
If politicians had known they could reduce EU migration so effectively by weakening the pound, they would have done it before. If the Peso hit $0.50 rather than $0.05 then Mr Trump would not have to build a wall. People simply don't uproot and migrate unless it's worth it. Until Greece defaults, the entire Italian banking system folds, Deutsche Bank drops or Spain goes bust, and so long as the pound is weak, our EU gastarbeiter will drift home.

Never a truer word spoken. Getting fed up to the back teeth of whinging lefties telling me how xyz are leaving because of Brexit.
"every raspberry was picked, every ward swabbed and every bathroom tiled." Raedwald, you do sometimes have a lovely turn of phrase.
You are also making a most pertinent point: never forget to follow the money.
Best regards
Meanwhile the UK population increases by nearly 10% in one year!
Yep, there are now 4 towns the size of Chester (my home town) being imported each year. No slow down here I'm afraid.
The Establishment has an obsessive and stupid approach to growth ergo believe mass population expansion creates consumer, therefore economic, growth. It's the opposite as demand fails to keep up and hard won resources struggle to cope and quality of life decays.
Trouble is there are vastly swathes of the world considerably poorer than any part of Europe, and people will continue to flock from those places unless we either take steps to stop them or become a third world economy ourselves.

Indeed, if England were dirt poor the population would be at least 8 million lower. Most of them hate the weather and what's left of our culture is of no interest to them - I'm a member of both the National Trust and English Heritage and whenever I attend the visitor demographic is the same as it was 40 years ago.
The Tories think England is a giant business park so utility comes first. Yes they talk a lot about 'diversity' but what they're really interested in is an uninterrupted flow of cheap and/or previously trained labour. With the Labour Party it's a case of if you can't get the change you want change the people. By the early 90's they'd realised they needed a new core vote to gain power. Between the two the replacement of the indigenous population is inevitable:
The Great Replacement is very simple. You have one people, and in the space of a generation, you have a different people - Renaud Camus
The Great Replacement (French: Le grand remplacement) is a term originally coined by a French writer Renaud Camus who first used it to describe the demographic replacement happening in France due to mass immigration policies and low birth rates among the native French.
The same term can be applied to many other European peoples both in Europe and abroad - from Germany, to England, to the United States, where the same policy of mass immigration of non-European people poses a demographic threat. Of all the different races of people on this planet, only the European races are facing the possibility of extinction in a relatively near future.

You talk of course of productive immigrants, which is important.
However it is being reported that 7000 "refugees" from Africa have landed in Italy in two days. Anybody care to guess how many of those wish to migrate to the UK with its over-generous welfare and housing schemes?
Surely these reports consider a mild concern whilst a disaster is in progress with no credible plan or mitigation possible.
I wish Brexit success, but if yUK does not start acting like a sovereign country and disentangling itself from EU refugee schemes then any slight trading benefits will be swiftly consumed by the gimmegrants demands.
Correction : another report suggests 13,500 "refugees" in two days-who to believe?, we are being lied to, so as to conceal the disastrous extent of future costs.
As I see it, the problem isn't, and has never been, immigration of European citizens from European countries (well, maybe a few thousand exceptions to that, but hey).
The problem is, and always has been, the disastrous immigration policies in place dealing with countries whose names usually seem to end in -stan, or countries located in the middle or far east whose principal "religion" is not of us or for us. Rights to import of extended families should be ended, and "student visas" rigorously policed - even for STEM students. The civilised ones are fine. The rest should be elsewhere.
And while we're at it, stop translating every damn thing into 64 (whatever) different languages.
Get Corbyn and his gang running the country.
The economy will very soon collapse as in Venezuela, and the immigrants will leave. Would anyone want to immigrate into Venezuela or Zimbabwe ? People want to move to better countries which have more opportunity.
Immigration is the sincerest form of flattery.

Thought it was AGW causing those things...
The Indians (now India, Pakistan, Bangladesh) chucked the British out of India. Quite right too. Can we copy them? After all Gandhi is a saint isn't he? Or is it enlightened of them, but waycist of us?
